today, after jogging at likas sports complex, i sat by the pond to reflect upon my life. pretty soon, it started to drizzle. as i was strolling to my car, i saw this beautiful rainbow. i guess that’s how it is with life too. when we are going through a “rainy” season in our lives, it’s precisely then that God sends His rainbow, His promise, His word to us – letting us know that though the “rain” may last for a while, yet the sun will surely shine again. no matter what hardships we are going through, though it may seem as if the situation is hopeless, yet God’s word tells us otherwise.
“For He knows vain men; and when He sees wickedness, will He not search it? For foolish man would be wise, and man is born a wild ass’s colt. If you prepare your heart and stretch out your hands toward Him; if iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and do not let wickedness dwell in your tents; surely then you shall lift up your face without spot; yea, you shall be steadfast and shall not fear; for you shall forget your misery, and you shall remember it as waters that pass away. And your lifetime shall be clearer than the noonday; though there be darkness, you shall be as the morning. And you shall be safe, because there is hope; yea, you shall look around you, and you shall take your rest in safety. You shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid. Yea, many shall seek your favor.” Job 11:11-20
